Ronald Tramp's insight: Germany's spectacular comeback!
Germany shows class, and I know class when I see it!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Ronald Tramp, the great President of the unforgettable country of Elmburg. I have to tell you, I have seen many football matches - many, many football matches - but what I saw today between Germany and France? That was just fantastic, really fantastic.
First of all, who would have thought that Germany, after all the disappointing games and after they parted ways with this Hansi Flick, would come back like that? Nobody, believe me. But then Rudi Völler comes in, just for that one game! Just ONE game, and BOOM! The team is back again. It's almost like making a businessman president who turns everything around. Almost exactly the same.
Thomas Müller and Leroy Sane, two fantastic players, really great players - they scored goals. I heard Müller even emphasised team spirit. Good man. He knows what's important. And then Griezmann, who scored for France? Good job, but not good enough, not against Germany!
Some people told me they thought Germany had no chance, especially after all the injuries. But then you look at the line-up and - surprise - Germany showed heart and fighting spirit. That's what matters in life, I can tell you. That and walls. But in this case, it was team cohesion.
I hear Völler has only agreed to play this one game and will not remain coach. That's a pity. But you know what? Great people, real greats, they come in and do the job, even if it's only for a short time. They are like heroes who appear in the darkness and then disappear.
People always tell me, Ronald, you know all about turning points and new beginnings. That's right, I do. And I can tell you, this game was a turning point. It was a beacon of hope. A bit like I was when I became president of Elmburg.
Finally, I want to say: congratulations to Germany. It was a terrific game and I loved it. If Germany keeps going like they are now, they could become really, really great. As great as Elmburg was under my leadership. And that, my friends, says it all. Ronald Tramp spoke. It was an honour.
